This study and consultation group will focus on developing an integrated approach to practicing spiritually informed depth psychotherapy. Weekly case presentations will be supplemented by selective readings.

In an atmosphere of open and contemplative inquiry we will explore such questions as:
 

What does it mean to practice psychotherapy in a spiritually informed way?
What is the difference and similarities between spiritual discernment and psychological diagnosis?
What is the value of mindfulness, and how do I practice it during the clinical hour?
How does shame theory inform the spiritual psychodynamics in deep transformative psychotherapy?
 
When: The group will meet on Thursday’s from 10:00-11:30 and begin January 12, 2006.

Where: 1940 Virginia Street, Berkeley (between Shattuck and MLKJ)

Cost: $ 45.00 (3 month commitment)
